Wallpaper company Grow House Grow! (what an awesome name) bears the motto "A story for every storey" which I think is such an innately lovely phrase, don't you? Here's what they say about themselves:
"It can be argued that a good story--and we all have one--inspires and gives meaning to the world around us. From personal histories and architectural details, to souvenirs and heirlooms we hold dear, it's important to fill our living spaces with things that create an environment that is both personal and universal; just as a good story does. Each pattern Grow House Grow creates has a different tale to tell, and endeavors to spark the creativity, mystery, and comfort of stories in those around us."
It's rare you find a designer whose aesthetic theories directly mirror your own, and Grow House Grow! is one of those rare birds for me. Interiors should be a visual expression of your own journey, like a mini-museum dedicated to where you've been and where you'll go. I love the concept of the personal and universal; we all love beauty, but each object of that beauty will evoke a different reaction in each one of us.
Ok, I'm done with my dissertation, check out some of their lovely wallpapers...
